Gooseberry - powdery mildew?

I'm not sure if this is powerdy mildew or not.. it seems sticky to the touch.. is PM sticky?

My gooseberry bush has one stem with it on, I have been using cement near(ish) the bush though to concrete the greenhouse base in. One gooseberry on the bush was covered in the grey, sticky stuff. Do I need to remove from the bush? Pic:

Powdery mildew isn't normally sticky. Have you tried washing the stuff off with a sprayer of plain water?

I think i have the same thing that you have i tend washing it of, followed by a godd watering of fertilliser. I this doesnt work cut it off and hope for side shoots or buy fungicide.
