  • Fungus? on garlic

    Hi,

We planted garlic in february and it was all doing really well but recently the leaves on some plants have started turning yellow, and there's some weird possibly fungus growing on them. I've attached a photo - has anyone seen this before? If so, what would be a good treatment? I'm trying to avoid chemicals where possible.

    Thanks,
    Shmeen

Not unusual for garlic leaves to start turning yellow on the tips at this time of the year. It is usually caused by a dry wind. The fungus looking stuff I can't help you with but would suggest removing all infected leaves and see how things go.

I can't see the pic real clear, but it looks like the frass left behind by the leek moth larvae
