  • There is a mouse in my compost bin....

....and I don't want him in there! Scared the life out of me earier

I don't want to kill him (that is the cats' job), so is there any way to discourage mice from my bin? If I soak the inside of the bin to make it less cosy would it ruin the compost?

It is a black plastic dalek bin. Thanks for any advice

It's too dry: give it a really good soaking. Try and water it after time you put something in.

Could be worse - my mouse was in my shed and ate into the cushions of the sunloungers. Thought it was cute till I found the damage!! At least in the compost bin he/she won't cause any damage.
