  • Ostrich Pom Pom Aster - back and curled leaves ??

    Morning,

Does anyone know whats wrong with my little Aster plant??

There is a strange black motteling occuring on the stalks and leaves are curling?? Im certain this isnt right as I have a couple in a pot at the back of the house who are as green as green can be.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks you for looking.

If it looks like mildew, you could try spraying it with fungicide... or, wait for someone with a bit more experience to answer your question.

Any aphids about ? if so could be a sooty mould fungus attack or it could be Fusarium Wilt which will also effect the plant roots as its a soil bound fungus
The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them

OOhhhh Cepgarden - there are a LOT of Aphids about - sooty mould?? sounds ominous.

Fusarium wilt???? Sounds too terrifying to contemplate.

What do you think best course of action to be??

Kathsun - thanks for mildew advice (all advice welcome to newbie :-)). I dont think a mildew spray will do any harm so will try that regardless.
