  • Cleaning pots after blight....

I want to make sure all my buckets and pots are throughly cleaned before i re-use them this year for my potatoes, i used them last year for my tomatoes and had blight, can anyone suggest something that will ensure the blight wont remain after i have cleaned them?

    Thanks in advance

I think I used bleach last year! I thought the main thing was to scrub really well, and rinse really well. I'm probably wrong though

A steam cleaner. Failing that, neat bleach which will kill all fungus spores but, in time, disappear to nothing though you could give them a rinse before use.
Can't think of anything else though I am sure there are lots of products on the market. (most will be based on bleach I dare say!)

Dithane is the recommended treatment for the soil,so I guess it should work for pots as well.

I use either ***** fluid or dithane, both will sterilise.
