  • Honey Fungus

I got home y'day to discover little yellow mushrooms all over my lawn

There is a dead tree stump, so they're welcome to demolish that.

I was frightened that it might be Honey Fungus, so I did a little googling. Apparently it's not so bad as all that ... it does attack & kill living plants (through it's spreading 'black bootlace' type roots), but only a few are susceptible to it. A lot of plants are totally resistant to honey fungus.

Not only that, you can eat Honey Fungus! Wild About Mushrooms: Honey Mushrooms

There is no chemical treatment for HF, you have to dig up every scrap of root and burn it. B0gger that, it can stay until it's eaten up all that dead tree stump.

As long as it doesn't get to the cabbage patch!
