  • Baby snails ~ 100s of them

I have noticed 100s, nay 1000s, of baby snails snuggling in my tall plants, eg. sunflowers, hollyhocks, dahlias.
They hide up there in the daytime, and crawl down at night to feast on my seedlings
I've been bringing them into the house with my bunches of cut flowers

Be vigilant folks. (photo by Ross Kendall)

You must have missed the mummy ones when they were laying their eggs. Yes, they're cute - but they eat my crops so I'll give them a salty swimming lesson if the frogs don't deal with them. Actually, I don't think frogs eat snails, maybe they need tin-openers? The best snail controllers are thrushes, but we don't have too many round here.

Not snails for me but 100`s of tiny white slugs.
We use to have frogs and hedgehogs in our garden, but since we got the big dog Storm we don`t see many now as she try`s to eat them. She has been known to run around the garden with a hedgehog in her mouth.
