    We have had a few inches here as well. It started late last night. I'm surprised as we usually escape it being just that little bit further south. I think everywhere has been hammered this winter. There's just no end to it.

      started snowing in durham about 1 hour ago, fairly heavy, and lying , looks like its in for the day, gritters are out, talking to one of the drivers in the petrol station, they have been out all night -9 in the early hours, bad forecast a lot to come he said, no not more snow.

        More on the way mid to late week according to the BBC weather page for Bingley.

        Only 1" this morning and starting to melt now. At least it let me off the garden duties for today so updated blog with cute piccies of cats on bed and read Sunday papers instead. If this carries on I'll be asleep by 4pm.

            We woke to a good amount of snow but it has been thawing fast and the sun's out now. Let's hope thats it.

              Woke to a light covering of snow but the sunshine soon thawed it. Even managed to get up to the lottie this afternoon for a "look" - first time for ages. Forecast is for heavy snow in the morning down here. Groan.
              Roll on the summer.
              Forbidden Fruits make many Jams.
