Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy decent Hessian sacks for potatoe storage. Plenty on Amazon & EBay but been told some a very thin. Will buy online if someone recommends good sacks.

I put them in trays (not sacks at all) after I lost a load to blight one year. In a tray with paper over the top, you can chack them easily to make sure they're keeping well. I've used the green trays from the supermarket in the past but this year I'm making my own from pallets.

I also use trays, covered over with newspaper and then stacked in our dark, cool cellar.
At the moment though, they are left in the soil.

At the moment until I get a paper of hessian sack my Estima's are sitting in a B&Q Bucket in the outside store. A guy down the allotment stores his in a recycle council bin that has lost it's wheels behind his shed.
