Cleaning lemon and orange Trees

as I have been of work for 2weeks I was looking at the trees on the window sill.
And thought id give them a clean Top tip open a can of bear I used Budwizer
get some cotton wool or soft cloth put some bear on the cloth (dont worry you dont need a lot) you can drink the rest
wipe both the top and undrside of the leaf. I could not belive the amount of dirt on the leaf (yes we both smoke )
both the plants can breath now you should see the buds that have come on in less than a week.

I must rember to do it regulaly maybe onece a month
Just wonderd if anyone else cleand there houes plants this way
or do you ues something else

I have used milk on shiny leaf plants like rubber plant Dobby. Yes, it's shocking the amoubnt of grime that comes off! I use cotton wool blobs, the kind Laydees use to clean off their face cream. Not so much fun when you drink the rest of the carton though!

I've used milk also but you need to ensure that you don't leave any residue to go smelly.

I put mine outside in the rain every now and again to give them a clean - doesn't do the underside but that tends not to be as dirty.

Just use tepid water (sometimes with a tiny amount of washing up liquid). I use kitchen towel or cotton wool balls. You must clean both the top and the underside of the leaf. The underside is where the breathing holes (can't remember what the proper name is) are. Milk puts a shine on the leaves, but I don't use it - they really shouldn't need it, you can buy a Baby Bio leafshine if you really want one.
