My local Dobies has a large wooden recycling bin for plant pots in the car park. I don't think this is a new thing? I've been helping myself over the weekend. Like to do my bit for the environment.
I got some really nice big containers from my Wyvale last year - just wish they would put a sign on the bin to say 'help yourself'. After asking the first time I know its OK to help myself to what I can use - but I wonder how many folk have looked enviously at this great facility and were too shy to ask?
i know i have my local wyvale have had a bin with wooden crates in (that patatoes come in) but ive always been unsure if to help myself will ask next time.
i get all my pots from my local nhs trust from the gardeners on site last year ended up with 8 bin bags full all 4 and 6 cell trays they went down a storm on the allotment site

I love a quick withdrawl from the pot bank. We grabbed loads of the pot holders for our plant sale and gave them away when people purchased plants from us.
I never buy new pots...I always wash and reuse them
