has anybody used this? did it work?
my neighbour at the allotment asked me if I knew where to get it from and if it was any good - apparently it was mentioned on the radio as good for making the soil more acidic

Its good stuff - high potash content from memory. Be a bit careful if gathering green bracken yourself, breathing in lots of spores is not recommended. (best collected in late Summer)

The spores are carcinogenic. So be very careful. Plenty of info on the web available, including on the rise in oesophageal and gastirc cancer caused by the carcinogen leaching into water supplies.

Plus the stems are very abrasive and can cut through your hands when collecting it.
