I'm using that Vital Earth stuff at the moment. Amazing. And it's recycled/made from renewable sources. Pretty much the same price - £5.99 for 60L

I've often found, when tipping out old grow-bags, that the compost inside is far superior to anything else sold as compost. Unfortunately, I bought loads of bags of cheap 'potting compost' this year, which I'm having to sieve before I can use it for germinating. Grow-bags next year.

grow bags are the way ahead!

Grow bags are cheap, easier to lift than big bags of mpc & have nice, fine compost that I find great for seedlings and young plants - I also use a couple for the first shallow earth up of my potatoes and so give them a feed and I find that it helps condition the soil be the time that the potatoes are lifted.... 'hope it helps!
