I was on a site the other day recommending the use of paper sludge as soil improver, has anyone used this on the garden.

What do you mean by 'paper sludge'? Paper soaked in water? I've never done that, but I do use paper mulch/cardboard/newspaper which I water to make it 'stick'. It works well for a season, then breaks down into the soil. -
No see picture attached. Its a bi product from producing paper, and traditionaly went to landfills, but they are looking at its uses as a soil improver, because it has excellent water holding properties great for sandy soils, and can improve the structure of clay soils.I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.Comment

Looks similar to the stuff they use as insulation. I'd give it a go on my clay, where do you find it?
