Fish v cats :(

I have cats and fish... I have solved the problem by making it extremely uncomfortable for my cats to sit around the pond. They have a couple of viewing platforms, but I've placed pebbles, stones and plants around it, so they can't really get a good swipe at the fish. Make sure you put something where they can sit out of paws reach though.

It probably also depends on how persistent your cats are - mine give up easily.
