I got rid of the fish in my pond because they ate all the tadpoles. Now I have a surplus of snails because the fish aren't there to eat the baby snails. As far as frogs are concerned though I reckon there's no such thing as too many. They stay out of the way of humans for the most part, mine always dive down into the depths of the pond as soon as they sense any movement from me, and they eat lots of nasty bugs and slugs etc that would otherwise eat my crops.

I'll have to try daphnia if that helps clear the water. I've also been told that tiger muscles clean the water too because they are filter feeders. My mate is supposed to be getting me some. It will be an interesting test to see if it works.
