  • Frog Rescue

I have just spent the past hour and a half rescuing a frog!
Before we started the extension we had to dig a test hole to see how deep the existing foundations are.
This hole is about 1 1/2 foot square but over 3 feet deep.
I was just about to tip first barrow load of dirt, stones etc back in... when I noticed something moving at the bottom of the hole. Poorthing couldn't get any grip to get out.
So I have had spent an afternoon dropping large stones in the bottom while he dodged them and hid in crevices, building up the layers til I could reach him with my bucket and stick!

Feel very pleased with myself now, normally OH is the frog rescuer as I get spooked when they jump, but he's not here, And I DID IT!

Well done Janey - let's hope the little chap is grateful and munches up lots of slugs for you!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
