  • He is - and he isn't.
There's a commercial fatball feeder in the middle and he's not inside that.
The Tommy Cooper Fez is an upside down flower pot with a plastic frame beneath it that was meant to support tomatoes or summat, when I bought it cheap, years ago. So its a 2nd level of defence.
The squirrel is eating the seeds that came out of the fat balls, there was only a bit of fat ball left anyway.
FYI the Fez frame is attached to a plastic fruit bowl thingy which catches all the seeds that fall out so they can't drop on the floor and attract non tree-climbing vermin.

                          This is Jeremy, Jeremy Corvid!!
He's building a nest in one of the oak trees, snapping off twigs, and weaving them into one of the topmost branches.
Jeremy is sitting in an ash tree, probably while his Mrs, does a bit of housework in the oak tree.

                          • I know this is a rubbish photo....but birds are difficult to capture if you haven't got a fab lens.

Lots of woodpecker activity at the moment...I often here him while out gardening.

One of the reasons I've started feeding the birds again - I love to watch them while having my morning coffee

                            • A better photo this time.....spotted a lovely bee this morning. I need to get myself an ID chart for insects - compile a list of what I see through the year.
