  • White spider on my fushia

    We came face to face with a rather agressive white spider today, sitting on my fushias. When we went towards it, it reared up at us. Any ideas what it might be? no pics sorry it was about 2cm square with a green tinge to it, but defo white

    Probly a crab spider ... named because they hold their legs up like a crab.

    They also change their colour according to the flower they are sitting on.

      Spider.

      Sounds like Misumena vatia, the Crab Spider.

      It hangs arnd flowers waiting for prey, a beautiful beastie.

        You lot should go on Mastermind ! That is exactly what it was, disguised as a green and white fushia! Very aggressive and not much good for my bees. Thanks for the quick response.
