I dug out a pond last year, partially shaded by a large tree, it's doing fine, loads of tadpoles and frogs

My 'pond' is a huge black container from wickes that I sunk into the ground after my son bought home tadpoles from school when he was 9. He's now 19 and we have frogs every year in it. They don't spawn- it's not big enough but they are always around.(much to OH's anguish as they give him the heeby jeebies when you don't know they are there and they suddenly jump!-makes me laugh every time!!)
