    ...just seen our first hornet!!!


    well..not quite as big as the Asian Hornet....but it might as well be..it followed us down the road and kept circling us when we went for a little walk/fast walk/ run/legged it!!!!!

            many years ago i was working tieing the bags on a combine and this bloke was firkling about in the hedge bottom digging wasp nest's out for the grub's for fishing .
            Any way he passed us as he ran up the field so the question was whats up mate .

                Only just notched the size! What the hell are they? Heard of the name but don't think I've ever seen one... What's the difference between them and a wasp
