Hi
I was out digging today and came across what I thought was a slug but as soon as it was exposed it rolled up into a ball. What on earth was it?
Very slug like ie slimy and quite large, size of a leopard slug. I put it on the path and it started to uncurl and from one blunt end it sort of oozed out into a probe and quickly started to probe the ground and the next I looked it had buried itself.

If it was flat and black, looking remarkably like a somewhat squashed slug, it may have been the dreaded invasive, worm-dissolving New Zealand flatworm.
I hope for your garden's sake that it isn't that !
