I have not been able to figure out these trees. Could not find a more appropriate subforum to put this.
The trees are dark brown and grow extremely straight like conifers but are NOT conifers due to the leaf type being different; thin but not like spikes of a conifer. The branches that grow out from the main single straight trunk are symmetrical on either side and grow out straight and up like a V either side.
The bark has whitish horizontal striations.
Now to the leaves, which are quite distinctive. I tried on treeguide but that was of no help. The leaves are sharply ovoid. I am sorry for the rude analogy but I can't think of another but the shape is like a woman's private, being thin but ovoid and symmetrical and ending in a point at each end. Also the colour of them is orange (that is where the analogy has ended of course
) and they have just opened some white flowers like apple flowers. I looked up wild cherry as was advised that could be a likely one but look nothing like those due to the very straight up trunks of these.
I have been trying to look up 'trees with orange leaves' and found nothing that comes close to these with their slim ovoid leaves.
