  • Stop magpies using bird feeder

My wife decided that the bird feeder - a cage holding suet balls - must be moved down to the end of the garden near our bird box with young blue tits in.
magpies have started raiding the feeder, eating five balls in two days and scaring away the parent tits. My question is, does anyone know of a method
of keeping the magpies off the feeder?

Move the feeder back where it was. The bluetits will not appreciate having it close to their nest, they hate any other birds being near their territory
    Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
    Endless wonder.

I agree with Mothhawk you don't want to Magpies spotting the nest or they'll take the chicks.
      Location....East Midlands.
