Hedge cutting - Furious.

I am so angry and upset. People near me have gardeners in to cut their boundary hedge along the roadside. It's mainly Hawthorn probably about 70m long. They've just finished it and I've watched a female Chaffinch flying in and out searching, with a beakful of feathers for her nest.

So cross. I'd report it if I thought the Police would be remotely interested.

There's a report form here, goes via RSPB.
There are so many sub-cretins posing as gardeners. Someone was cutting three of my neighbours lawn in the pouring rain the other day!
At least the nest wasn't finished.

When you go to complete the form it says that RSPB don't want the report form completed for hedge cutting/nest disturbance, it says we should ask them politely to stop if we know a nest is active and if they continue to call 121 and ask for an incident number. Really helpful. People are so ignorant. It should be advertised not to cut hedges during nesting time, it's not rocket science.

Yes, at least she was still building her nest. I've been trying to focus on that small positive. Still fuming.
