My totals to date:-

Courgettes - 51 + 4 = 55

Cucumbers 24 + 2 = 26

Spotted some Yellow Crookneck squashes coming on. First time growing these and I think you're supposed to eat them like courgettes. It'll make a nice change - yellow bent ones instead of green straight ones.

Crooknecks are better treated as squash, so roasting with lemon/salt is the way to go. Delicious though, mine are just coming on too

I'm growing the Summer Crookneck from Courgette Vegetable Seeds to buy in the UK from The Real Seed Catalogue and they recommend eating it young so I'll give that a go first and leave a few to grow a bit!
They remind me of yellow tadpoles.

I think the cucumber count is now up to 6 - all from my friend's greenhouse. The ones at home are nearly ready too so I am about to have a glut!

First outdoor cucumber arrived last night, and picked 600g courgettes the day before. Perhaps I should add a new section to my recipe tin for courgette recipes?
