Dal's solution may be:-

- To log in
- make numerous posts during his visits (even if they're rubbish ones like mine)
-and see if he becomes a privileged member after that.

I have seen several security features on this site.

1. The "confirm I am not a robot" entry - goes away after a "Germination complete"
2. Not authorised to post . Probably linked to setting to 1, You need to complete a number of posts within # days. I think it is "You need to complete Germination in a set number of days.
( I got the message and Mod unlocked my account when I first joined)

Setting 1 & 2 prevent the likes of malware postings by "robots", reduce spread of virus and keeping your computers secure.
Setting 3 ensure that message are encrypted between your computer and the server. Preventing theft of personal data (as you type it)- i.e. think PM (Personal Message) communications. You don't want someone to listen in.

Hi folks I never had any of this when I joined the vine under Dalrmple ! so I carn't understand why it's hapening, I kept logged in but for some reason I was logged out and could not get back on ,I was told my email addy was invalid ,so I set up as Derbydal !
