I'm growing Trafalgar too - think they were recommended by a radio gardener

Marte - large , round, wellspaced buttons and pleasant but not strong flavour. H4.

I grew a variety called Brigitte the other year. I tried them in pots in the greenhouse.
Perhaps it was just luck, a bad growing year or just my general inability to grow Sprouts but it was a total failure.

Might try another variety next year...

Weird: I've just opened the AGM list and it's come up in a different format (you have to click from one page to the next). But the other day, it came up as a single document. Wish I'd saved it as a pdf for viewing off line. Any views, VC?

Edited to add: I've found the list I had the other day. It contains info on hardiness but not specific details as to why the plant was given the award. So, the app list and the pdf in the link below make a useful combination:

I saw a recipe today for pickled sprouts I prefer mine steamed.

My favourite way to eat sprouts is shredded and then stir fried with cinnamon and nutmeg.

I like to cook them whole, with chestnuts and baby onions (so they're all about the same size) and cranberries and thyme as a festive dish. There may be a splash of red in there too.
