Hmm, as for the dirt crumbs, I was using a piece of paper as I didn’t want to get dirt on my acrylic boards.....it’s not supposed to be for gardening products!

I was looking for bird netting and came across this fleece tube.

Would it be any good for isolation?

I use wedding favours bags- the large ones- really easy. Just bag a few flowers before they open. Though I had a lovely black naga plant and every time I bagged any flowers the flowers dropped off

I got mine from @m@zon and you can also get them from the bay. You need the bigger ones as you can bag the end of the branch.
Mine are 15cm x10cm. They are reusable so you don’t have to buy any more the following year.

I get mine in packs of 50 organza drawstring bags from a well-known auction site. Extra-large to cope with squash flowers.

eta: they are washable too and I use them to hang seedheads in to dry in my shed in late summer. V handy!

Photo of bagged plant!.....some chilli plants can get huge so wrapping a whole one up can be troublesome.

Following on from 4 Shoes post, yeah I get it that would work, but bagging an entire plant could prove a mission in itself!

It�s a good option for smaller plants...but some chillies can get huge. One of my Naga plants was over 7ft one year. Leaves were huge - no chance bagging that!

Wow that’s enormous (the plant, the plant) no wonder you lot try to over winter them. Mine only got a bit bigger than the bag looks to be last year!

That's a first year plant....it was an annum I think - name escapes me at the moment but it was prolific. Great crop in a year.

It was the variety, really easy, no experience required honest ....just wish I could remeber what it was! I'll be back!

Really good idea. I'd watched a video on Victorian Garden site where they bagged the plant. Then again they would be looking to save much more seed, so would work better for them

I can see the wedding bag being really useful for when you just want a couple of pods from a number of plants.

I've seen them bags round the house... must investigate
