Second Early Potatoes - Nicola

I have some second early potatoes (Nicola) which should be ready to start harvesting in two weeks time. When I come to harvest them can I just dig up a few to use and leave the rest in the ground to harvest later or should they all be dug up at the same time and stored?

I grow Charlottes for my second earlies. I just dig them up as and when I want them until the haulms have all gone brown (I don't get blight where I am). At that point, I lift all the ones that are left. I've been told they can be left in the ground, but for some reason they seem more prone to pest problems once the haulms are gone.
