  • What and When to feed Tomatoes

Hello everyone, I have quick question......

What do you feed Tomatoes and When?

I am making some Manure Tea anyway and don't want to buy shop bought liquid tomato fertiliser.

    Kind Regards......Rob

I collect comfy leaves from the field behind my house and stuff them into an old pair of tights,I also do the same with seaweed and then place them into a tub of water to steep to make a tea with them , similar to your manure tea, start feeding when your plants start to show fruit, if you are growing your tomato in a pot sitting on a grow bag water the grow bag and feed via the pot, if you are planting with just the bag or the pot water as required and feed once a week, dilute as required you want the liquid feed to look like a weak tea, (10 of water to 1 of tea) or you can make it even weaker and feed with every watering, always ensure that your soil is moist before feeding
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

They'll keep your legs warm, rary, especially when they start fermenting

My apologies, Dynamite, but I couldn't let rary's typo pass unnoticed

I feed my toms when the fruit sets.

It shouldn't be veggiechicken, it should be chickenhawk
Well spotted, there's not much that you miss well apart from the odd chair now and again
