    Why not just put the bathroom scales underneath the pumpkin and weigh it?
    I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!

      i have'nt got any scales! and i think the measurements will be in inches and the weight will be in pounds as i got the info from a yankee website, here's the link....http://www.backyardgardener.com/wcgp...s/10steps.html

        Time to resurect this thread. How did growing these giants go for everyone this year? Is anyone still going strong? Have you any extra tips you want to share?

        I saw the world record was broken a couple of weeks ago with a 1689 pound whopper!

          i was very lucky this year and grew my first pumpkin it was a sumo giant pumpkin variety and i produced a 100lb pumkin to wint he grow your own vitual vegtable show.

            My prize pumpkin at the Hill came in at 19lb, so came 5th in our allotment competition. The winner was 68lb! As a bonus, though, about a couple of weeks ago I found another lurkinging under the foliage, and that weighed in at 13lb, and tastes yummy!

              I put it on a different thread, but my atlantic giant was 4st 3lb (59lb). It enjoyed a regular drop of lager. Must have reached the parts other feeds cant!
