What soil mix for an unused water tank ? - carrots

Hi everyone, at the moment the tank is full of clay soil from last year.

I want the best possible and most nutrient dense mix for some carrots. Just ordered the seeds they are coming in the post.

Can I get away with using the existing clay soil ?

Your ideas and feedback is as always welcome.

nairobi f1 is the variety.

Carrots like a light, sandy soil. Not sure that clay is the best option!

That's not really of much use regarding soil mixes. I read it already

Sieved soil with sand mixed in. You don't want any obstructions (small stones) as the Carrots will fork, likewise avoid using manure.
