    I grew Gigantes (realseeds) in 2017 on an old rotary clothes line (on its side so the strings were at right angles to the ground). One grew back in 2018, though I don't know whether it was from the roots or from a fallen bean that I'd missed.
    I think Beans are tougher than we think!

      ..........and what about Peas?

      What does the team think about growing peas in shrubs? They cling onto things, rather than twine like beans, so they may be better at growing into bushes and hedges.

      Just an idle thought at the moment, I have lots of those but never seem to get around to turning them into actions.

        Looking forward to the pictures of the rampant bean hedge.
        Regarding frozen beans not being very good though, I'd say frozen runner beans (the pods) are not good but frozen french beans pods are almost as good as fresh, in my view.
