Rhubarb and mint believe it or not are two plants that a lot of people have problems with growing.

Mint should always be planted up hill from the parent plant apparently, and people either fail miserably with rhubarb or it grows like a weed!

Rhubarb does not want to grow at my allotment; it was perfectly happy at my old house, so it's not me doing summary wrong, honest, but 5 plants at the plot have just given up within a year or two of being planted, and now out out one measly feeble leaf a year if that. All in different spots. No clue why.

Of course, elsewhere on site they grow like weeds and taunt me.

I managed to kill mine by growing potatoes nearby and smothering it, but I think the real killer was mulching it too deeply and rotting the crown.
