Wind damaged Charlottes

My Charlottes got battered and broken about in the winds all that was left of the foliage was a couple of inches of stem. That was nearly two weeks ago so I'm I better of digging up my potatoes or leaving them in the ground until I need them ?

If they were mine I'd dig them out now,I'd worry the slugs would get them?

Thanks Jane that's what I decided on yesterday, they're drying out now. Never known my potatoes to get such a battering
