Celebrate with me! Last bit dug...

Today I dug the last bit of bed 3. We took plot 1B on last April, and since it hadn't been cultivated forever, and was thick with weeds and scrap, it's taken ages to get it all sorted. Now every bed is in production.

Well done, digging is hard work but in my opinion so rewarding when complete

I keep telling myself that every rusty nails or bit of glass taken out is one less on the plot...

I'm soooooo happy, GL! It's not so much the digging, but every forkfull takes about 5 mins to sift through for roots and crud.

Been there, done that and got thet shirt....i still say when i dig up a bit of bind weed.....little bit weaker. On top of that i have recently taken on another overgrown plot,

Llevrah, years ago it belonged to a man who had some sheds on it and processed scrap wood for kindling for the folk who lived in the village the site serves. From what I can see, he simply dropped anything he couldn't use....

I've pulled out electrical fittings, car parts, taps, piping, coat hooks, wardrobe fittings... if it's metal or plastic and it comes fixed to wooden objects, then it's probably in our plot somewhere.

Congrats 1Bee! That's speedy digging & sifting - I've been going 4 years now and I still have 3 beds left to dig. Must feel amazing to have it all done!

I'll take your congrats, Sparrow... but it's only a half plot. And quite a dinky one at that.

Keep going. It's worth it! I keep thinking over my plot To Do list and going, "heh. Just harvesting and weeding, then" and giving myself a mental high five...
