name that weed time!

A while ago I posted that in amongst my carrot / parsnip rows there seemed to be another row of what could have been veg growing. I left them growing for a while just in case I had accidentally sown something rather wonderful / edible. I am absolutely no further on in figuring out what it could be so I have returned to ask for more suggestions! I still have this plant growing in a perfect line, in fact I have 2 almost straight lines growing where I thought I had planted veg seedlings. I pulled one up and have photographed it below. Its root smells kind of familiar, a bit radishy/mustardy but I haven't dared taste it just in case I keel over. Any ideas will be gratefully received!
