      Thanks all really good feedback. We particularly follow an organic food ritual and knowing that many of the conventional seeds are Monsanto or similar (GMO) is something we want to avoid and rather a Heirloom or organic seed. I will try to collect seeds in future. But looking at the plug plant part not as desirable as I had hoped.

        Most peeps that have surplus plants/car boot sales/school fete etc won't be F1's as there are that many per pack and the seed is expensive, they will usually be your bog standard gardeners delight that youcan save seed from.

          My blueberries had been 6 days in the post, it has taken me a month pinching leaves covered in what looks like powdery mildew and they just about now started having some new growth. Although I wont put my hopes up yet! The earliblue's lost a lot of flowers and leaves. But, at least they are alive.
