Love,y sunny day here, just out in a tee shirt.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Baldy, you are never satisfied. If it was cold, miserable and rainy you wouldn't like it.

Extra watering is a small price to pay for sunny weather. Get the sunshades out and the straw hat and enjoy it.

No misunderstanding, Baldy. I knew what you meant.

The weather sites are driving me nuts today. When I looked on Windfinder for tonight's minimum temperature yesterday it said 10. This morning it said 5. This afternoon it said 4. Now it says 3. But their high resolution "superforecast" says 7.

The Met Office says 11. The BBC says 10, the GFS model says 3 (not surprisingly as that is what Windfinder uses), the high resolution Arpege (French) model says 8 and the high resolution HIRLAM model says 7.

                    So who do I believe?

Well it feels cool here and I've brought my flowers out for the night, sunflowers, cornflower, sweet peas and nasturtium . Sky is clear at the moment which spells cold. Shall keep watching.

The irritating thing is that the GFS is SO different from the rest that it is tempting to ignore it, but 3 is actually ground frost territory, which is not good. I have shut the growhouse which contains my beans that have only been outside a couple of days, but I haven't got the fleece out to cover the potatoes and bedding plants.

                          We shall see.

Well, according to the University of York's weather station (the other side of York from me but likely to have generally similar weather) the minimum was 9.4 last night. I wish the GFS wouldn't scaremonger so much - its done this before and that means when it gets it right it is less likely to be believed!
