It seems an excellent way to clear old seed, especially the mixture that I always find in the bottom of my seed tin

I will certainly be copying you if I ever sort out enough space for a second run!

I thought I'd leave them to clear it now, then resow with more old seeds.
The most productive old seeds seem to have been the salad leaf mixes - and I always have lots of those left unsown!
