First batch of forced Rhubarb, very pink and tender. Now just got to cook it and taste it.

Baby carrots from my first bucket in the greenhouse.
Cauliflower about the size of a cricket ball that wasn't going to grow any more.
              Happy days!

First Asparagus spear that I'm allowed, will relish it as its only the second year for my Asparagus so can't harvest many.

Had about 3kg of forced Rhubarb from two plants, they are uncovered now and resting for the rest of the year. Been cropping my Asparagus for the first time, lots of it for just two of us and it's not really got into full swing yet. Approx. a third of the bed has only just been planted up with my Sweet Purple that I grew from seed, so I won't be cropping from that until 2018 probably.

Lettuce sown this year - green salad bowl and freckles - although we are still eating rouge de grenoble from the winter, which just shows how cold this spring has been as it is only just starting to bolt!

Ripe tomato - Balconi Red, sown in January.

Not the best flavour on earth, but a nice compact plant that grows happily on an east facing windowsill and produces ripe tomatoes in May, what's not to like?

                            Several more on the way

Broad beans, pulled a test pod and found it had 5 beans about 10mm long, a little small but cooked them anyway, didn't bother to double pod, they were gloriously tender and sweet.

Should be able to do a proper harvest in about a week.
