    Oh my hoe is not used for weeding .......yet
    I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

      I've had a swoe for the last 30 years and wouldn't use anything else. Not that I do a lot of hoeing, but the swoe does several jobs with just 1 tool.

        I prefer a draw hoe, it seems to offer me more control. I tend to decapitate to much when I push a dutch hoe and the resistance gives way and....Ooops. Full height and onion hoe in the draw style for me, but herself prefers the dutch Hoe style when stood up.

        Remember that the Hoe blade is a knife that should cut through the weed stems not just push them over.
        So a stout but thin blade that's regularly sharpened is much better. I see too many cheap commercial hoes on sale with thick blades ground off at 45 deg on the edge that would only work in soft sandy soil and not real conditions.
