
I'm new to veg growing. This is my first year so forgive my lack of knowledge. I've got some great broad beans growing after autumn sowing but today I've noticed lots of small red/Brown spots on several leaves on a few plants. Is this Chocolate Spot? If so, is removing the infected leaves enough? I've removed all the leaves where I can see the spots. Is that ok or do I need to remove the plants? Mainly.......if the plants continue to grow.....can the beans still be eaten?


With regard to eating the beans from infected plants, I have several times eaten unmarked beans from infected pods with no ill effects, however I think eating visibly marked (infected) beans would be tempting fate
