Liming and Green Manure

I think I've boobed.

I've dug over my potato bed and sowed a green manure (red clover) just yesterday. Then it suddenly dawned on me that this will be my brassica bed next season, and it needs liming.

Can I get away with liming it quickly now before the seeds germinate?

Any other suggestions?

Ohhh tricky, first thought is have you tested your soil to see if it actually needs lime, second thought is groundsman at my school limed the cricket pitch in the Autumn after reparing & reseeding the crease, so if it's good for grass then it will probably be OK for mustard I would think.

Thanks BB. Yes, I've tested, and it's not bad, but for brassicas it's not quite right.

Cool, just remember that lime is "slow release" so maybe a light dusting now,then check again (correct if necessary) when you cut the mustard back.
