Well you won't be planting out for quite a while yet, so maybe by May time there will so much going on and other things planted around so it doesn't look quite as bare so maybe no one will notice. Maybe put a row of tom plants or beans so it is slightly hiding but of course not taking up the lighting.
It is harder for someone to tell you to take it down when you are already growing in there and you could blag it for this year only......... Oh can I just leave it till someone says something, I've spent months growing these

Any photos, Spunky? Its hard to imagine why someone would object to a 1m high thingy made from ?water pipe and plastic unless there's something that we're missing.
BTW, Kristen, one metre is quite tall for us vertically challenged chicks
