  • Found seeded spuds

    Hiya all,

As I was clearing out the garage I found a bag of seed potatoes is it to late to plant them if so can they be kept for next season or have I lost them to my forgetfulness forgot to say they are main crop potatoes

Depends on whether you've got space available and don't mind taking a bit of a chance!
I planted some PFA last week just to see what will happen?

Be adventurous....go for it, I say!

I bought a bag of seed spuds yesterday from the garden centre - last bag they had. Now very pleased I did - I identified blight on the spuds I had growing and have had to decimate the haulms in the hope of stopping the rot. I hope to still get some kind of crop from those but will now plant some of those I bought yesterday in the hope that I get some spuds this year - maybe in time for Christmas!!! Nothing ventured nothing gained. And as well to try them as to chuck them in the bin!
      Happy Gardening,
