Peculiar Parsnip Problem

    As my ground is full of stones I use an iron bar to make a deep funnel shaped hole which I then fill with sifted soil with a bit of leaf mould mixed in. Then sow several seeds at each station which I thin out to one plant. Seems to work for me.

      I read somewhere that last year was particularly poor for parsnips and carrots. ...very wet start and then a long dry period. That said my parsnips always look like some kind of alien life form when I dig them
