I sowed some Delphiniums "Pacific Giant" today. I'm not all that hopeful because the seed is a couple of years old and apparently it doesn't keep well, but I'm going to give it a 2-3 weeks in the cold before I give the seed tray some gentle heat. Fingers crossed!

Sowed American Land Cress and Lollo Rossa lettuce for the windowsill today.

Good idea. I've got some land cress seeds left from a couple of years ago. I could sow a few for the windowsill too.

I sowed cabbage "Golden Acre" and cauliflowers "Mayflower" and "All The Year Round". Just a few seeds of each in the greenhouse, see how they go.

This week and today I have sown Nansen lettuce,several peppers,several aubergine ie different varieties,Basil and Parsley.Any advice about Fat baby Achocha.I have been given some seeds.

Where abouts are you? I would start off on the windowsill or greenhouse around March/ April. Plant out when plants are strong enough and conditions are getting better.
I find it self seeds fairly easy once left to its own devices

Nope not doing anything until Feb - no greenhouse and only limited window sill suitable - enjoy the rest I think best

They are prolific - looking back at my notes, 4 plants gave me 4.2kg from August to November. That's a LOT of small, light, spiny fruits! The more you pick the more they grow...

Started more tomatoes, I really need to stop. I keep seeing another variety and I can't help myself.
Also need to tell myself I do not need 10 plants of each variety just 1 or 2.

Yellow courgettes. To be planted out in March in the poly. If they die they die, but got 20 seeds in a pack. Never use that many with all the other varieties I like to grow.

Spinach, Tom Thumb lettuce, webs wonderful lettuce, lollo rosso and some rocket.

Need to do a lot of transplanting now to free up some seed cells

Now Wednesday, got into the greenhouse and started some seeds off but its blowing a blizzard every half hour or so, thank god for big propagators.....

I've not started any seeds yet. I'm worried about the plants getting too big before we have time to move the greenhouse.

My other worry is the packs of seed mostly have a 3 months sowning span Jan to March. I worry about starting them too soon or too late. Why cant they just put one months on the pack rather then a 3 months span.

More chillies sweet peppers, first lot of tomatoes and a few lettuce
