Are eggs beneficial for tomato plants?

Just found this site/page

Incredible Eggs in the Garden - Bonnie Plants

and was curious if anyone had ever tried eggs or eggshells for their tomato plants?
If so what were the results like?

I made a half-hearted attempt this year but had so many tomato plants that I gave up rather tamely when I got tired crushing shells
So, no scientific results from me I'm afraid.....

When Netto was around, before being ruined by @$d@, they sold tubs of crushed eggshells for about 3 quid. They were a wonderful slug barrier.
I might try one tomato plant with an egg burried. Im rather fond an egg and tomato sandwich.

found another site saying aspirin is meant to help with blight and another sight saying about baking soda to help with fungus.

So you could have a clean, headache free egg + tom sandwich

We had the asprin spray topic in the summer, and yes that worked.. best crop of healthy toms for years.

Putting dead animals under the ground for feeding plants is quite common so an egg as it rots down may release similar nutrients? Don't use a fertile egg as you may get a shock what pops up out of the warm, damp greenhouse soil!
And, don't let anyone see you planting eggs either or you may get a visit from the men in white coats!
My uncle had a smallholding on the moors. Every winter sheep died when they were engulfed with deep snow. When it thawed he went round collecting these dead sheep and the were put in the bottom of the leek trench. Covered with soil taken from mole heaps and other various additions and fed on water from a barrel with a ladies stocking full of sheeps carlings hung over the side of it, he grew decent sized leeks!I must admit, I wasn't too keen on eating them though!

I put crushed egg shells in my brassica planting holes and scatter them around the plants but that's about it for using eggs.

Our eggshells are either fed back to the chooks (to replace calcium) or go in the compost.
I do put epsom salts in the water for toms though...against blossom end rot.

Our loacal chemists are obsessional about not selling non prescription drugs to certain people. My wife has very severe asthma and i have Angina and diabetes. So they always ask who is it for. Nowadays i always say its for the tomatoes!!!!! It works because last summer I was buying asprin, tums, and baking soda for them which caused quite a stir in the pharmacy.

I wanted it for my elderflower cordial but she looked down her nose at me and point blank refused.

So I went to the supermarket pharmacy and got it there.
When I explained that it had been refused elsewhere she shrugged and said..."well it is used by addicts to cook up heroin"
What must I look like???

You and I both...........same scenario for exactly the same thing! Finished up buying it online!
Made the cordial in small bottles and put them in the freezer............that reminds me, I think I'll go and delve in the innermost reaches of the chest freezer and see if i've got a bottle left!

I used to have a meths camping stove, some places wouldn't sell me that either in case I was going to drink it! Had to sign something in Scotland before they'd sell it me there.

try the little asian stores,it can be got no bother,also good for descaling the kettle
